Born in Malaysia in 1950, David was the youngest son with 7 siblings. Being the adventurous 21-year-old that he was, he travelled half way across the world in the 70's to the UK where he fell in love with a young lady only from the same village in Malaysia, the love of his life, Moi Song.

After a beautiful wedding they didn't wait long to start a family, raising Selina (何宛蔚), Jonathan (何宗鴻) and Christina (何宛璟). Meanwhile, David achieved a PhD in Material Science - though he was always too modest to tell anyone this.

​

David's proudest milestone always will be being granddad or 公公 to Ethan (何松諭), Harley (何松駿) and Sophia (何松霏). All of his grandchildren clung to him and found him hilarious. David always had an inner child which he often let out and is also why he was such a hit with everyone. 

​

Along his journey he made lots of wonderful lifelong friends who he talked about dearly and often. He played a significant role in the local oriental community even during retirement. 

​

David had a warm glow that everyone could feel. He was a loving husband, one-of-a-kind father and doting grandfather who was pure hearted. He was so kind that he never put himself first and would always give both everything he had and didn't have to his family and others.

 

There were no moments too little to cherish for David and he always treasured what money could never buy. Family was everything to him both in the UK and Malaysia. He always made time for family and would often repeat his most adored stories for everyone to share.

With frequent dreams and plans to visit Malaysia to see family again, David was gone too soon and will be dearly missed by many.
